Steve and I is an electronic piece that uses loops in different metric patterns between four groups of instruments. The pianos carry metric patterns, the guitars carry melodies, the basses support the low end of the ensemble, and the marimbas bridge the gap between the pianos and guitars. Each of the different tunings brings out different aspects of the music.
